I’ve always loved Vice Squad and remember pissing my parents off in 1980 by continually replaying ‘Last Rockers’ a UK punk anthem over and over… I was in lust with Beki; our very own Debbie Harry and cited by top UK music journalist Gary Bushell as being the first punk pin-up.

When I heard they were still touring I went out of my way and hassled Beki into getting me on the guest list of the Sugar Lounge gig. It was a fucking great night, ‘Don’t Let the B’stards get you Down’ and ‘Last Rockers’ played live stood the hairs on my arm on end. I made some great friends; Beki and Paul are awesome people, the supporting groups; The Warriors and Surgery Without Research were a great bunch as are all of the Kent punks I met. A special thank you must go to Russ from the Warriors and Gary Gash who initiated me into the PPA (Portly Punks Association!!)
